North Richland Hills Police K-9, Koba, returns to full duty.
After being shot while attempting to apprehend an armed suspect, K-9 Koba recently returned to full duty. Koba enthusiastically warmed up before hitting the streets on his first day back. His handler relayed that “He did very well and picked up just where he left off.”
Even after facing multiple surgeries, Koba dealt with his recovery and rehab with resilience. The only hurdle in recovery was his excitability. Koba is a very work focused K-9 and was eager to play and get back to work. His handler stayed by his side through the entire process, highlighting the bond between K-9 and handler.
We are thankful for the constant stream of support, calls, cards and well wishes while Koba recovered. Each one was hand delivered to the K-9 team, and brought joy and comfort to them during the difficult days.
