Auto Pedestrian Accident – PR 18.05

Auto pedestrian accident has one transported by air ambulance in critical condition – Davis at Shady Grove.

On Thursday, March 1, 2018 just before 7:30 pm, North Richland Hills dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call reference an auto pedestrian accident in the 8500 block of Davis Blvd near Shady Grove Rd. Officers arrived on scene and found an adult male in the roadway with apparent injuries. The driver of the sedan that struck the adult male remained on scene and cooperated with officers.

The roadway was closed in both directions at approximately 7:30 pm and remained closed throughout the investigation. Air ambulance arrived and transported the adult male pedestrian to an area hospital in critical condition. At this time, the driver of the sedan is not expected to face any charges.

The roadway reopened in both directions shortly after 9:00 pm.

Major Crash – Iron Horse/Meadowlakes Dr

Major crash leaves three transported to area hospitals, one with life threatening injuries and one driver arrested for suspicion of DWI.

On Saturday February 10, 2018 just before 7:00 pm officers were dispatched to Iron Horse and Meadowlakes Dr regarding a major crash. Officers arrived and found two vehicles involved in the collision. North Richland Hills Fire-Rescue transported three patients by ground ambulance to area hospitals, one with life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, one adult male driver was arrested on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence and booked into the North Richland Hills Joint Detention Center. The Iron Horse bridge and Iron Horse exit ramp will remain closed for approximately two hours to conduct the accident investigation.

Names of involved parties will not be released at this time.

          NEWS RELEASE                For Immediate Release   PR 17-14

On July 27, 2017 at 10:09 am, first responders were dispatched to the 7200 block of Boulevard 26 regarding a vehicle that had crashed through a glass window in the shopping center. Upon arrival, personnel saw a minivan that had backed through the glass window of ABC Nails.

The vehicle was removed from the glass window by North Richland Hills Fire Department personnel. There were no injuries and no one was transported from the scene. The building was reported to be structurally sound.
