On Tuesday, October 29 at approximately 1030 am, an incident occurred between locations 6420 Smithfield Road and 6430 Davis Boulevard of property damage involving several vehicles with windshield and back window damage and several of the glass window platform shelters shattered. After the initial incident, it was later reported that two additional vehicles had reports of damage at the 6351 Iron Horse TEXRail Station.
With cooperation with TEXRail security, a description of the suspect was communicated throughout the TEXRail system notifying each station of the suspect and the incidents that occurred. Later in the afternoon, an off duty Fort Worth Officer was able to identify the individual suspected in the incidents earlier reported at the Smithfield and Iron Horse Stations. Fort Worth Police Department was able to take the individual into custody, and after further investigation, the suspect was transported to the North Richland Hills Joint Detention Facility. The individual is currently in custody and is being held for criminal mischief charges and possible additional charges.
