It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of one of our police officers, Caleb Rainey.
While the cause of Caleb’s death is unclear at this time, we do know that he had recently been ill. Caleb was 25 years old, and had been with the North Richland Hills Police Department for just over two years. In his short time with us, he brightened the halls and the streets of North Richland Hills with his charisma and enthusiasm.
Throughout his academy experience, he excelled and earned his place as “Top Shot.” He earned two Commendations and a Certificate of Recognition for his efforts and dedication while serving our citizens. He was also nominated as Rookie of the Year in 2018.
Caleb is best described as a true public servant, always giving of himself to lift others. He was kind, dedicated, full of life and compassionate. His sense of humor brought light to our team. We will truly miss his infectious smile and laughter.
We ask for prayers for Caleb’s family and our department during this difficult time. We are working closely with the family and arrangements are currently pending.
