Police Chase leads to SWAT Stand-off

North Richland Hills domestic assault suspect barricades himself in vehicle – Fort Worth PD SWAT assists in apprehension.

On Saturday, March 31, 2018 just before 11:00 am, officers were called to the 7400 block of NE Loop 820 to investigate an alleged domestic assault. North Richland Hills officers observed the suspect leaving the area in a gold Hyundai sedan and signaled for him to stop.  Instead, the suspect continued driving until he reached the 2200 block of Jacksboro Hwy in Fort Worth, where he still refused to exit the vehicle.

After North Richland Hills officers observed the suspect was armed with a handgun, assistance was sought from the Fort Worth Police Department, who responded with their SWAT team, and successfully took the suspect into custody at about 2:00 pm without further incident.

The suspect is: Nicholas Hoefer, white male, 26 years of age from Euless, Texas.

The subject is being held in the Tarrant County jail pending charges from the North Richland Hills incident and on a warrant from the Tarrant County Sheriff Office.
